Have You Heard "The Bible Is A Good Book, But Full Of Errors"

Many of us have heard this, it's always the Atheists kinda go to without really knowing much about the Bible itself. I would say many unbelievers would accept this without even ta thought about researching it, why? Hmmm, because it falls precisely into their favour of unbelief and then avoiding the looking into the realization of their own prospect of damnation.

I will only talk about the Genesis Chapter 1 vs Chapter 2 lies in this post.

WHY I READ THE BIBLE AS MY ULTIMATE SOURCE OF GOD'S WORD!

I was introduced to the King James Version of the Bible around the late 80's. I was sent to a Baptist School during my late Middle School to Junior HIgh. it was located in the San Fernando Valley. I always remember it being the go to of Bibles at this time of my life, sure it seemed old style english, but you always had a reference to certain words that would make it more current in today's language. You would usually find this at the bottom of the page, if you haven't yet read a KJV.

So let's get into this interesting topic of "CONTRADICTION"S" that so many unbelievers like to talk about and why I see no issue with the KJV, ESV or ASV of the Bibles. No I am not saying all the others are void, but there are a couple of deceptive "Translations" by some heretic Pastors that can lead some to believe it's not the Word of God, especially if it has different and contradicting theories to the verse. (Look out for these posts)

This Can Be Daunting For A New Christian.

As a new Born Again Christian this can be a very daunting experience if one is not properly taught, When we first experience the Holy Spirit and yearn for the Word of God an forget we are Baby Christians and want to tell the whole world what Yeshua did for us without a thought that the world will think your nutty, and well they will do this to you.

So the conversation goes something like this, well yes indeed I am a Christian... oh that's nice. Do you believe in the Bible, the word of God. Oh no, the Bible is a Good Book but full of errors. Oh really, well let me get my Bible out, and you can show me where! Ok, let's start in........

So they dives right into Genesis 1:12-13

12. And the Earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding

seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed

was in itself, after his kind, And God saw that it was good.

13. And the evening and the morning were the Third Day.

Now they skips to Genesis 1:20

20. And God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly

the moving creatures that hath life, and foel that may fly

above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

They: Correct, Made Adam out of the dirt,

Eve out of the rib, made birds out of the water "so it says"

Now they go onto Genesis 1:24

24. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creatures

after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the

earth after his kind and it was so.

Oh boy, you may be starting to feel as though you are losing this conversation and evening starting to doubt it yourself.

But they don't stop there, now they move onto Chapter 2 of Genesis, 7-9...

7. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the

ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of

life and man became a living soul.

8. And the Lord God painted a Garden eastward in Eden;

and there he put the man whom he had formed.

9. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow

EVERY TREE that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food;

the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,

and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

So where are we going from here?

Well now they move onto Genesis 2:18-19

18. And the Lord God said, it is not good that the Man

should be alone; I will make him an "help meet"

(a helper comparable to him) for him.

19. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every

beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought

them unto Adam to see what he would call them; and

whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was

the name thereof.

So now let's summarise the supposed contradiction!

DOES GENESIS 1

CONTRADICT GENESIS 2?

Genesis Chapter 1 V:11 has grass, plants and trees made on day #3	Genesis Chapter 2 V:8 has grass, plants and trees made after man on day #5
V:20 has birds made out of water on day #5	V:19 has birds made out of the ground on day #6
V:24 has animals made before man on day #6	V:24 has animals made after man on day #6

So, they say the Bible is a good book, but its NOT Gods Word!!!!

So I can understand any young Christian with the new conviction in faith to share the Word of God but an ill prepared soldier going into battle will be devastated. Like above, they may have no answers, possibly leading them to be soul destroyed and even left doubting the Word of God.

Listen to me young Christian in faith. You see Satan will always send someone along that will try to confuse you, remember Paul writes in 2 Corinthians "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

Or in 1 Corinthians 14;33 "For Yahweh is not the author of CONFUSION but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints."

So let's explain the falsehood to these claims that the Bible is full of Contradictions.

So let's go through the points of events:

• Day 3 God made the plants.

• Day 5 God made the birds out of the water.

• Day 6 God made the animals then man, then He made the garden of Eden and put man in it,

Chapter 2 of Genesis is ONLY describing what is happening in the Garden of Eden it is NOT describing the whole world at this time.

Continued from above;

• Day 6 God made the animals then man, then He made the garden of Eden and put man in it, trees good for food in the garden only, one more of each animal out of the ground for Adam to name them and select a wife, Eve.

As we know from Chapter 1 in Genesis the World is already full of trees, Chapter 2 is all about describing the garden of Eden.

So lets make this very clear, that while Adam was standing there in the presence of our Lord, one more of each animal (the rest of the world was already full of animal kinds) was literally coming up out of the ground. Why would Yahweh do this?

• First to allow Adam to name each one

• Secondly to show Adam he was alone

• Thirdly to show Adam that Yahweh created everything. (Importance of this down below)

So after all the naming of these animals Yahweh realized that Adam needed a helper of equal compatibility. So then Yahweh put Adam into a deep sleep and took from him one rib and formed the very first woman. So again all that is being told here, it's ALL about what's happening in the garden ONLY.

The importance to the third bullet point above.

We must understand that Adam saw Yahweh create one more of each animal kind right before his eyes, so there was NO doubt in Adams mind who created ALL things, But, this was NOT so for the first woman Eve, for she did not see any of this. The relevance is that if God had made Adam last, well Satan could have come to him and said " All that you see here I made" and well Adam would possibly believed so. and at the very least it would have placed doubt into his mind whether or not if God had truly made it. But we do know that Eve never saw anything created by Yahweh. So let's look at Genesis 3:1-7, who did Satan go to and deceive in the garden? The weaker vessel as 1 Timothy says.

My closing on this particular subject of "Errors in the Bible" is to say that there are NO contradictions in the Holy Bible, it is truly the inspired Word of God preserved and translated for all to have access to our ancestry, history and the most important, THE GOOD NEWS. Amen
